Jim Saintsing of Fidelity National Title Insurance Company joins us for this program focusing on recent legislative developments impacting the practice of real estate law in North Carolina. Jim will review legislation enacted during the 2026 short session of the North Carolina General Assembly, as well as other significant statutory changes over the past year. For each relevant legislative development, Jim will discuss the changes toexisting law, their effective dates, and their practical implications. Specific emphasis will be placed on matters affecting real property transactions, title examination, and real estate closings, with practice pointers to help attorneys navigate these changes and protect their clients.
