In this program, we will review common ethical issues arising in residential and commercial closings. Some topics to be covered include representing both the buyer and the seller, conflicts of interest, disclosure of material facts, safeguarding client files, handling client funds, liability for title work, and the unauthorized practice of law. We will also examine relevant ethics opinions and provide tips for staying in compliance.
