Troy is Managing Counsel for LM Title Agency, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lawyers Mutual serving attorneys throughout North Carolina. Prior to heading the title agency, he worked for Lawyers Mutual as Claims Counsel, focusing primarily on real estate, fraud and technology related claims. In that role, Troy routinely taught CLEs and other professional education programs for national, statewide and local organizations, including recent engagements in Hawaii, Chicago and New Orleans.
Before joining Lawyers Mutual, he worked at Investors Title as a Claims and Subrogation Counsel. Troy began his career with a small Garner, NC law firm where his practice concentrated in commercial and residential real estate transactions and litigation involving real property.
Troy attended NC State University, graduating with honors in Civil Engineering. He received his JD, also with honors, from Campbell University.
Outside of work, Troy enjoys hiking, working in his garden and enjoying seeing his three children experience life. His wife, Jennifer, is also a licensed attorney.

Prior to joining LM Title Agency, Nick Long worked as North Carolina State Counsel for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company for over ten years. He regularly teaches continuing legal education courses on real estate and ethics related topics throughout the state. Nick is experienced at handling complex title issues, particularly in large commercial deals.
Nick is past Chair of the NCBA’s Real Property Section Council, and was the founding Treasurer for Liens NC, LLC. Earlier this year, he was honored as a 2018 NCBA Citizen Lawyer Award recipient. Nick currently serves as Legislative Committee Chair for the North Carolina Land Title Association. Nick received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was a Morehead Scholar while an undergrad at UNC.
Michelle received her Bachelor of Science in Business from Mt. Olive College in May 2009 and her Juris Doctor from Charlotte School of Law in December 2013. She is a NC licensed attorney and licensed by the NC Department of Insurance for Title Insurance.
Growing up in the small town of Micro, NC, Michelle started her legal career in 1991 working with several attorneys in Johnston County before moving to Carteret County where she worked for a firm in Havelock. Relocating to Wake County in 1996 brought Michelle to the litigation and transactional departments at a large firm. Returning to Johnston County in 2002, Michelle worked with a local firm focusing on tax foreclosures, collections, and personal injury until entering law school in 2011.
While attending Charlotte School of Law, Michelle was the Chair of Practice Readiness for the American Bar Association/Law Student Division and the Treasurer for Parents Attending Law School. In addition, she worked on several pro bono projects including the Beazer Homes Restitution Clinic helping home buyers who were victims of fraudulent origination and accounting practices and the Innocence Alliance reviewing claims of innocence made by inmates at various North Carolina prisons. Also while in law school, Michelle worked in the legal department at BB&T and as a research consultant for the Carolina Panthers. After completing a research project with the Carolina Panthers, Michelle returned to the legal department at BB&T where she remained until immediately prior to opening Trust Title.
Michelle is a member of the NC Bar Association, Wake County Bar Association, Tenth Judicial District Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
